The long one took me a long time to do - it sat on my loom for a while. I just didn't feel inspired.
And then I was told about Twitch Creative! It's a section on the streaming website Twitch.tv that is meant for artists. People create all kinds of things and stream it live. I looked into what it would take for me to do it, bought a webcam, and got started.
You can find me on Twitch here, my username there is TinandTim. Please check it out! If you follow me, you get an email whenever I start streaming. Or you can see when I'll be starting by looking at my Tumblr blog since I will be trying to make my streaming announcements there.
So far I've done 10 streams including two gaming streams, one embroidery stream, and seven weaving streams. I really enjoy doing it. As I said, I was having trouble working on the long weaving but when I decided to stream my creative stuff, I jumped right back into it! I finished the long blue one and got started on the geometric one the very next day! I feel like I get more done when streaming and I'm not sure why.
I'll be posting my thoughts on creative streaming here once in a while, I set up a new category for it titled simply, Streaming. I also might set up a page here with information about my Twitch channel and creative streaming in general.
And I still have three more monochrome woven necklaces to post!! I have to get them up but first I have to photograph one of them again because I had to fix it a bit (It's fine, it's just that when I wove it, I left a gap in it and that's fine on a wall hanging but I thought I should sew it shut since it's a necklace. So I did that but it looks just slightly different than before so I need to take new pictures of it.) Once I take pictures of it, I will list the last three and post about it here and elsewhere.
I'm very excited about moving forward with my work, including streaming. Like I said, I enjoy doing the streams so much and it has given me renewed excitement and interest in my artwork.
